Van Gogh is recognized as one of the most groundbreaking artists in the world. His passion for painting represents his advocacycy for freedom, and his love for life. His paintings are internationally renowned and widely appreciated by many generations, and some of them are the most expensive pieces of art in the world today.

Van Gogh’s works are focused on the reproduction of true emotions. When he was young, he first encountered Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism in Paris. He continued to innovate in color and style. During his stay in Arles, France, he painted more than 2,000 paintings, including 900 oil paintings and 1100 drawings and manuscripts. Most of the famous paintings were painted in the last two years of his life, but they have not been recognized by the society at the time. It was not until after his death that his works won praises from critics for their shocking and imaginative power. His painting style has a profound influence, and he can be called the most outstanding master of art in Europe at the end of the nineteenth century.
